What's Coming Up - Alexia Urban Winery. Every Sat and Sun until further notice. five minute walk from ASURE Oak Estate

Alexia Urban Winery

Every Saturday and Sunday until further notice

Alexia isn’t your usual winery and vineyard experience. No vines, no sweeping rural vista…just our little winery and wine bar on an industrial site on a back street in Greytown.

We offer a small, but delicious lunch and snack menu and all our wines can be enjoyed inside the winery amongst the barrels, on our terrace, or purchased to take home. Click here to see our menu.

We don’t offer formal tastings; visitors can instead try the ‘Alexia Experiment’ - a tasting paddle of 4 of our still wines (you choose from the available selection) for a self-guided tasting experience. Visitors have described the ‘Alexia Experiment’ as one of the best things to do in Wairarapa.

Art lovers can also enjoy our mural ‘Goodly Creatures’ painted by Cromwell based contemporary figurative artist Jen Olson. It really is something. Read about Jen’s process to create the mural here.

Our winery building is a transformer: from March - October we use every inch of our space to make our wines - the place is full of tanks, fermenters, pumps and hoses and grapes…a lot of grapes. From October - late February the tanks move out, we set up our little kitchen, put out the tables and chairs and become a seasonal wine bar and cellar door.

Leashed dogs are welcome on the terrace and in the garden. Alexia is also a smoke and vape-free site.

Time:  12.00pm - 5.00pm

Price:  Free Admission - no bookings required - just turn up

Greytown Crop Up

Every Saturday - Summer & Autumn

At Crop Up everyone smiles. It could be because they're surrounded by the freshest locally grown food in the South Wairarapa. It could be because we have a new composting toilet to ensure balance and comfort can be yours when you are visiting. It could be the sweet-as Kiwiana music tracks that mellow you down on the Truckstop Party speaker. It could be Shane's Kellyrista coffee from the Crop Up Coffee Cave.

But we think it's because Crop Up is Greytown's Saturday morning Happy Place where you meet your mates and do small town social stuff before you get on with the rest of your weekend.

Time:  9.00am

Price:  Free Admission

What's Coming Up - Greytown Honey Dahlia Flower Farm - January to April 2025

Greytown Honey Dahlia Flower Farm

January - April 2025

We've taken thousands of amazing customers behind the scenes and shared our passion and our story with you and the most mind blowing part of it all for us is the lack of understanding when it comes to bees and pollination. So we decided to start a flower farm that shows first hand the impact a bee pollinating a plant has on the seed process. If you know us, you'll agree we don't do things by halves so we've gone all in and created a Dahlia Flower Farm which will be in full swing over summer, between January and April and we're expecting to have thousands of blooms ready for Pick Your Own flowers, photos in the patch and exciting events that we'll announce closer to the time.

To book your 'pick your own' experience all you need to do is click the link below, where you'll be able to not only pick your date and time you'd like to come but also what you'd like to pick. If you're choosing your wedding blooms and have a specific colour palate in mind please add this into the notes at the bottom of your booking so we can make sure we hold availability for you.
