Festival of Christmas - One NZ Festive Night Glow

For one night only, Molewood Orchard transforms into a glowing wonderland. Step through the hidden door and follow illuminated pathways into the heart of the orchard, where hot air balloons are inflated and will glow, tethered to the ground and set to music.
Grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks, toast marshmallows over the open fire, and gather around the bonfire as you soak up the magic of this unforgettable evening. Proudly supporting the Greytown Fire Brigade.
Postponement date Friday 24 July. If this event needs to be postponed, your tickets will automatically be transferred to the postponement date. You will be notified on the day of any changes due to weather.

Adults Only Schoc Chocolate Making Class
Every Friday during the festival
Indulge in a hands-on chocolate experience at the Festival of Christmas, featuring delicious tastings and expert guidance throughout. You’ll learn two different methods of tempering chocolate, create and decorate three of your own chocolate tablets, and explore the art of painting Santa with cocoa butter.
To top it all off, take home your very own chocolate Santa, along with a 10% discount to enjoy while shopping in-store during the festival. This workshop is strictly for the grown ups! No need to share your delights with the kids.

Truckstop!
Every Friday & Saturday nights during the festival
Truckstop Winter Edition is back on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the festival.
This little hub of tasty goodness gives great dining for the whole family, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street. Every weekend, Dale Keith will be serving up his famous smashed burgers, Mao & Co will bring the zing with their delicious Asian street food, and Goodtimes really do make times good with flash flatbreads that pack a flavour punch. This year, in the ‘sweet spot’ corner, Mrs Blackwell will be selling New York-style cookies.
Truckstop will also be the official festival central station for mulled wine! Grab a bite, a mulled wine and cosy up next to the brazier, trucker style!

Snowfall on Main Street

Glorious snow will be falling once again outside the Town Hall, thanks to FreshChoice Greytown.
A firm festival favourite, this magical moment arrives right on cue every Friday and Saturday night throughout the festival (plus Thursday 9 July, the day before the Matariki public holiday). Who knew the forecast could be this reliable?
Set to music and lights, enjoy a little northern hemisphere White Christmas magic right here in Aotearoa. Strike your best snowy selfie pose, grab something delicious from the food trucks, keep an eye out for Ruru and his friends and get ready for a flurry of fun.
The forecast is looking very convincing. Snow will fall every half hour from 6pm to 8pm, like clockwork.

Stallkeepers Greytown Market - Shades at Grays

Shades at Grays offers beautiful lampshades and stunning wood lamps – inspirational lighting that isn’t available in retail stores. You can find their handcrafted products twice a month at the local Stallkeepers Greytown Market, held in the old town hall at 89 Main Street.
The market is a carefully curated boutique market, with a wide selection of high quality homeware, clothing, jewellery and more.
You can buy Sue’s ready-made lampshades off the stall or order one from a wide range of fabrics and lampshade sizes to perfectly fit your home. Update a floor stand, brush off your favourite lamp base or add an eye-catching ceiling shade. Life’s too short for boring lampshades!
